Ron Shepard
Ron has been teaching for over 40 years, some of it part-time, but most of it full-time. He has been teaching full-time since 1992 when he got out of the Air Force and with the support of his wife and family he opened a studio in Omaha Nebraska.
Rons initial dance training started in a franchise studio. He quickly realized for personal reasons he wanted to have his own studio. He has had the privilege of taking coaching from many top instructors in ballroom, latin and more and continues to do so. Ron has tested and received certification from the NDCA.
“Ballroom dance” was the initial foundation for his teaching. He has since had the opportunity to learn and teach Ballroom and Rhythm, Country Western, West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop, Salsa, and Argentine Tango and many other styles of couple dancing.
He has competed in pro-am divisions in Ballroom and Latin, Country Western, West Coast Swing. This has given Ron the opportunity to meet and enjoy a variety of dancers, dance instructors, and dance enthusiasts. When he goes to a competition he always make sure that his students know they are competing “not against the other dancers” but against themselves. He is still currently active in pro-am competition and enjoys it immensely. He has won "Top Teacher Awards several times as well as Top Studio".
Ron enjoys teaching all levels and ages of dancers from beginners to advanced. He especially enjoys teaching large groups. He likes taking a group from one step to the next, and at the same time sharing with them the things that he has learned. He uses a system of teaching that takes you from one step to the next while maintaining a sense of fun and a relaxed atmosphere.

Ron is also an artist and works in Pen and Ink and Water Color. Also sculpting as time will allow.
